Our 2013 Holiday Project:
Bringing
Technology to Crossroads Springs

In 2013, my friends and I continued to help the children at Crossroads Springs; an orphan care center and school in Hamisi Kenya. Crossroads Springs works hard to “Serve the Child, Heal the Nation” by providing a good education and a sense of community to children who have lost their families.  We wanted to support their mission by helping them increase their access to technology to improve their education.

laptopsOur Goal: When we began this project, there were just three computers for the more than 350 students and all of the teachers at Crossroads Springs. We raised enough money to buy 11 laptops for the classrooms that did not have one, so that all of the children at Crossroads Springs have the tools they need to build a better life.

Our Thank You: To thank our supporters, we sent a set of beautiful handmade holiday tags to anyone who donated $15 or more to our project. The tags featured banana bark artwork made by our friends at Crossroads Springs.

Total raised in 2013
$2,085.00
